The eagerly-anticipated ‘Four go to War’ featherweight knockout tournament will kick-off at Emperors Palace on October 21.

According to the Golden Gloves website, the final, which is scheduled to take place in February next year at the Palace, will be for the WBC International title.
In addition, the winner will also receive R500 000 in prize money and a guaranteed fight in the US.
In the first round, South African champion Azinga Fuzile will face former Commonwealth champ Tshifhiwa Munyai and former world champion Simphiwe Vetyeka will clash with IBF Youth champ Lerato Dlamini.
Both bouts will be 10 rounds.
Winners of the semi-finals will receive recognition from the World Boxing Council with an award of a special WBC medal after it was recently announced that the major organisation will be endorsing the tournament.
A total of four intriguing fights complete the Four go to War card, with Thembelani Okolo challenging WBC International Minimumweight champion Deejay Kriel in their WBC international strawweight bout before the much anticipated Ryno Liebenberg-Patrick Mukala duel.
Mukala will get his opportunity at wide recognition when he faces the man known as ‘The Lion’ and a former world-ranked light-heavyweight.
Their super-middleweight bout is scheduled for 10 rounds while the Okolo-Kriel face-off is scheduled for eight rounds.
