Olympia victorious in Junior Cup clash
An impressive Olympia side struck three times in the first half to knock Boksburg out in their penultimate u-15 ELFA Super League Junior Cup clash on September 27, in Bedfordview.
However, according to Boksburg coach Ernest Seforo, the 3-0 full-time score was not a true reflection of the game.
“We dominated in the second half and created chances and hit the crossbar three times, but their goalkeeper also made good saves,” said the mentor.
“The boys tried everything but there was no luck at all. Despite that, the game was interesting.
“They played according to plan but were denied goals by the goalkeeper.”
The Blues also finished fifth in the u-15 Super League – not too shabby for a debut season in the top flight.
