Golf and goodness in the swing to support foundation

The rain may have ‘blessed’ the Series A golf charity fund-raiser on May 12, but the day still proved to be an unqualified success for the 112 players and the Ernie Els autism beneficiary.

The golf day, supporting the Ernie Els Foundation for Autism, was held at the Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Golf Club.

Dr Ratshidi Rammutla, a neurosurgeon in private practice at Sunward Park Hospital, was the organiser of the fund-raiser.

The occasion was used to launch his Ramson Cross Charity Foundation, which will raise funds for a range of worthy causes.

The golf day combined two of Rammutla’s greatest loves – charity and golf. He plans to make the golf day an annual event.

Funds were raised from sponsorships, pledges, selling of golfing merchandise and an auction that took place at the elegant dinner that rounded off the day.
