SA Teen Ambassador finalist aspires to inspire

Miss Teen Jo’burg 2016, Nicole Rampoop, is a finalist in this year’s SA Teen Ambassador Pageant and aspires to inspire.

Nicole (18), from Parkrand, was born and raised in Boksburg. She matriculated from Boksburg High School last year and is a student at Varsity College.

She enjoys reading, dancing and shopping.

Nicole describes herself as a light-hearted person. She believes having integrity and strong moral principles and values.

She is an optimistic and open-minded person, always looking for the cloud’s silver lining.

She believes that she is representative of the young generation in our country; therefore, she entered in the SA Teen Ambassador Pageant.

“Entering this pageant provides me with a platform to influence and inspire young people whilst giving them hope,” Nicole said.

“I have always had a passion for people with disabilities, so this will provide me with a platform to make a difference in our community.”

Nicole is driven by the opportunity to improve and grow. Seeing the joy of others motivates her to inspire people.

The pageant industry is not new to Nicole.

Her modelling journey began with the annual Mr and Miss Boksburg High pageant. She placed second princess and won a contract with Figures Models and Talent Agency.

At her last event with Figures, she was the top scorer in the Model of the Year showcase.

Nicole modelled with Figures for about a year before she started entering external pageants.

Before the Miss Teen Jo’burg pageant, she entered Miss New Hope, a charity initiative.

Last year, she was crowned Miss Teen Jo’burg.

“Being a part of this journey has been so humbling. I have gained insight into so much,” she said.

“Holding this title has allowed me to do so much more for our community. I have inspired others to follow their dreams, no matter the cost.”

The Miss Teen Jo’burg Pageant is in partnership with the Unbreakable Dreams Foundation.

The foundation focuses on uplifting disabled teenagers to become whoever and whatever they wish, regardless of their disability.

Nicole has also worked with Casa Caritas, a home for the disabled.

“My greatest joy has been working with and inspiring children,” she said.

Winning the title as SA Teen Ambassador afford the opportunity to represent South Africa on a global scale.

“Obtaining this title will allow me to achieve my greatest goal, which is to instil value and purpose in the hearts and minds of young woman and children as well as inspiring people to live a purposeful, driven life,” said Nicole.

“This competition is an opportunity for me to contribute to the growth and success of our rainbow nation.”

The SA Teen Ambassador finals will be held later this year.

To vote for Nicole, ‘like’ her picture on the SA Teen Ambassador Facebook and Instagram pages.

The finalist with the most likes across both social media platforms gains automatic entry into the top 5.
