SPCA cheer fund reaches R48 398

The animals at the Boksburg SPCA had a cheerful festive season in 2016.

A whopping R48 398 was raised for the society over the past three months with the Christmas Cheer Fund project, which is now closed.

Every year, around Christmas time, the SPCA finds its kennels full to the brim with donated, stray and abandoned animals.

The purpose of the Cheer Fund is to raise funds to cater for all the furry critters that must be fed and to give some Christmas treats to all the unfortunate pets behind bars.

The Boksburg SPCA thanks the following individuals, companies and organisations for their contribution to the Christmas Cheer Fund:

* Mr and Mrs Potgieter, R500: In remembrance of our beloved Skye.

The Boksburg SPCA sincerely thanks the community for opening their hearts and wallets to this cause.
