CBC Boksburg hosts orientation days

Christian Brothers’ College (CBC) held orientation mornings for the new preparatory and high school boys from Grades Four to Seven and Eight recently.

The preparatory school boys were shown their classrooms and were introduced to the principal of the preparatory school and its teachers.

The Grade Eight boys were then allocated to their tutor houses and to their relevant house masters, teachers as well as their house leaders who comprise appointed matric boys.

House tutor systems were explained to them while they were shown their classrooms.

Thereafter, the preparatory and high school boys participated in various fun activities. For the Grade Eight boys, these included participating in inter-house basketball and soccer games on the new basketball court, as well as in the newly refurbished indoor sports centre. This centre is also used for indoor cricket and hockey games.

On a different day, the school held an orientation morning for the pre-primary and primary school boys.

The boys then participated in age-appropriate activities in their new classrooms, supervised and encouraged by the teachers.

Parents of the new boys at all levels were given a presentation pack with details of the school hours, teachers’ names, uniforms, stationery and fees lists and all other information relevant to their sons’ grades.
