Windmill Park killer gets two life terms

Murder accused Sihle Nkwanyane (31) was sentenced to two life terms recently after being found guilty on three counts of murder as well as arson.

According to Dawn Park SAPS spokesperson Const Nkemeleng Mabula, four years ago, police officers were called to a Windmill Park house where they were told that there was an unbearable stench coming from the neighbouring house.

“The police then searched the house in question and to their surprise they discovered the body of a 30-year-old woman buried in a shallow grave inside the house,” Mabula said.

It is believed the deceased was the suspect’s girlfriend.

A murder docket was opened and was allocated to Det Const Tshidiso Selele from the Dawn Park Police Station.

The investigation led the detectives to the Brakpan SAPS where it was revealed that the same suspect had also committed two murders and arson in Brakpan.

Using the information received the detectives worked hard to let justice prevail.

The suspect was arrested on September 15 last year in Windmill Park.

The 31-year-old appeared at the Palm Ridge High Court and was sentenced to three counts of murder and arson.
