
The complainant opened a common robbery case on August 31, stating that he was robbed of his laptop.
“While the investigating officer, Det W/O Robert Ngomane, investigated the case, a witness came forward and told him that the laptop was in the possession of the complainant,” said Boksburg North SAPS communication officer, Capt Juanita Coetzer.
“The detective questioned the complainant, who later admitted that he had opened a false case and that his laptop had not been stolen.”
The complainant was arrested on a charge of perjury.
