Blues left red-faced against Sporting
Boksburg Football Club's ELFA Super League opponents, Sporting, humiliated the Blues in their backyard, with a 9-0 walloping on Saturday, June 25.
There were goals and cards galore during the encounter, at the Boksburg City Stadium, as Brennan Peters’ troops were also forced to finish the match with nine men.
This shocking loss was the first on the day for Boksburg’s sporting teams, as local rugby sides – Boksburg Rugby Club and East Rand United – would later endure heavy defeats themselves.
Key players Nick Farinha and Bobby Borissov received their marching orders, while Tyler Fisch went off injured – only aggravating the Blues’ misery.
The Blues might have hit rock-bottom, but they can only get better from here … surely.
Their next home fixture is on Saturday, against BCC.
Peters chose not to comment on the Sporting loss. – @SabeloBoksburg
