Do you have creative ideas to fix the economy?
The Greater Boksburg Publicity Association and Chamber of Commerce and Industry are launching a Think Tank Forum.

“There are so many people with wonderful ideas on how to take our economy forward and create meaningful jobs. It is these people who would like to get involved in this forum,” said the president of the chamber, Derek Fox.
“Take for example Piet Ellis from Pietafix, who has developed technology that converts tyres, plastic bags and waste into burning fuels such as paraffin. What a wonderful initiative!
“We also have had people who have presented ideas to us where they use waste as a fuel to create electricity. Among us in the communities we have the solutions to get this economy back on its feet, to create meaningful jobs that bring back dignity and respect and provide a solution to so many of societies challenges.”
* Coupled with the forum, the association and chamber is looking for retired men and women who would like to make a difference to the economy by sharing those skills they have acquired over so many years and joining the Business Mentor Panel.
“The chamber has launched a training academy that provides cutting-edge training particularly to micro, small and medium enterprises, training which you only seem to get if you are in a big corporate.
“Training, though, is one thing, but learning from someone who has knowledge and skill is the direction we wish the panel to head towards.
“We have so many up-and-coming entrepreneurs and business owners who can do with a little guidance and skill development. They basically need a business mentor.
“Whether you can spare an hour, a day, a week or a month of your time, please be in touch with us and make yourself available for the panel,” said Fox.
Anyone who wishes to be part of the forum or the panel, contact Fox on 082 886 0651 or the office on 083 417 3585.
