Officers shut down three illegal shebeens in the informal settlement during the crime operation over the weekend.
Illegal shebeens in Angelo informal settlements are said to be the source of all the atrocious crimes taking place in the area, mostly on weekends.
Police stated that regular surprise raids on identified crime hot spots would become common practice.
Meanwhile, the Boksburg police have also busted 31 suspects for various offences during the period May 9 and 16.
