Woodlands celebrate perfect pass rate, 40 distinctions

The 39 matrics who sat for the International Examination Board (IEB) exams at Woodlands International College collectively achieved 40 distinctions.

A 100 per cent pass rate was achieved and a total of 36 learners earned a bachelor degree pass.

The college’s top pupil is Michelle Marais, who achieved six distinctions in English first language (83 per cent), Afrikaans first additional language (86 per cent), geography (80 per cent), life orientation (85 per cent), life sciences (83 per cent) and maths literacy (90 per cent).

Five other matrics obtained three distinctions each.

Cayla Brits achieved in the top one per cent in IEB for maths literacy.
