Rotarians meet their peers from India

A group of three couples from India was recently hosted by the Rotary Club of Benoni Aurora and Boksburg Lake Rotary Club, as part of a programme known as Rotary Friendship Exchange.

Rotarians from different Rotary districts in various countries visit other countries, where they are hosted by Rotarians in the district being visited.

The host district then reciprocates with a visit to the district whose Rotarians visited them, and are, in turn hosted by that district.

A programme of visits and activities is arranged for the entertainment of the visitors, which includes attending Rotary meetings, seeing sights in the area and travelling to the country’s important or beautiful places.

In the process, local Rotarians meet up with and network with people from countries which they may never have the opportunity to visit.
