Gang of thugs terrorises Boksburg community
A recent police crime report has revealed how Boksburg residents are being terrorised by a heartless gang of thugs, leaving many people living in fear and afraid to even leave their homes.

A daring gunman ,described as a young coloured male, robbed a cash loan business of an undisclosed amount of money in broad daylight, on a very busy street, on Thursday, June 30.
According to Boksburg SAPS spokesperson Lieut Kwendzakwakhe Ngobese, an employee of the business, located in Leeuwpoort Street, told police that she had just opened the doors at about 8.15am when the gunman confronted her and held her at gunpoint while demanding cash.
The robber then stole thousands of Rand before he fled the scene.
No shots were fired and no injuries were reported, but the victim was left shaken.
Also on Thursday, July 29, at about 1pm, a man was left at the Boksbug Cemetery without means of transport to go home, after a thug hijacked him of his car worth R70 000.
The complainant told the police that he went to the cemetery to visit his late wife’s grave. The robber confronted him, demanded the keys to his car and then drove away in the vehicle.
Police are now investigating a hijacking case.
In another incident, a gang of thugs hijacked an Opel Corsa worth R35 000, white in colour, while the victim was driving along Rondebult Road, Comet, on Tuesday night, July 28.
The five criminals, reportedly driving in a white Toyota Corolla, pulled in front of the victim’s car and two men, both carrying firearms, jumped out of the Toyota and confronted the victim.
They dragged him out of his car, pushed him into their Toyota, where the other three accomplices were waiting, and drove off with him.
The other two thugs followed them.
They drove to a secluded area in Vosloorus where they dumped the victim and drove away in both vehicles.
No arrests have been made so far and the car has not been recovered.
