Man shot dead by colleague at work function
A man was shot dead by one of his colleagues after a fight broke out between them, during a work function held at the company they work for, in Fobian Street, Hughes.
The shooting occurred around 1.15pm on Saturday, June 6.
According to the Boksburg North SAPS communication officer, Lieut Juanita Coetzer, the male suspect pulled out a gun and fired three shots at the victim.
Police were called out and found the body of the victim lying in the street outside the company’s premises, opposite the gate.
The man was declared dead on scene.
“The suspect ran away after the shooting and police gave chase,” said Coetzer.
“Boksburg North police members caught the suspect at Ravensklip train station.”
The suspect was arrested and detained at the Boksburg North SAPS.
The case is being investigated.
