Owls humbled by Vereeniging
It was not the way the Boksburg Rugby Club’s premier XV were hoping to kick-start their Valke Peregrine League campaign – especially coming at the back of impressive results in their pre-season preparations.
The Owls, fresh from humiliating Kempton Park in a 62-5 hiding last month in their final pre-season friendly match, were humbled by an efficient Vereeniging side in their first league encounter of the season at their Prince George Park home ground on Saturday, April 11.
The rampant visitors only allowed the Owls to breach their defensive line once in the 45-7 massacre.
