Time to treat your dog to an adventure walk
Dog owners and supporters of the SPCA are invited to take part in the fifth Adventure Dog Walk, at the Boksburg Stadium, on Saturday, March 28.

This event is in aid of three SPCA branches on the East Rand and the hope is to raise much needed funds.
“The event promises to be a lovely outing with family and furries,” said organiser, Ann Martin.
There will be two courses of different lengths and activities to ensure that large and small dogs can participate and have fun.
The longer course requires old clothes to be worn by the adventurer, as the format will be in the form of an interesting, yet fun obstacle course.
The Adventure Walk is also an opportunity for the SPCAs to engage with the community and get feedback, as well as remind the community of the work the society does for animals in need.
“If you don’t have a dog, come along anyway; you can support the event by paying your entry fee and walking the route,” said Martin.
The organisers require the following to be adhered to:
* no female dogs in season;
* all dogs must be on leads;
* no puppies under three months; and
* all vaccinations to be up to date.
Fees are R30 per person and R10 per dog. All participants will go into the draw for a dog bed valued at more than R900.
Pre-registrations will all receive a free goodie bag and there’s also a stunning prize for the club with the most members in attendance.
Gates open at 4pm.
