Taxi violence: two killed in Van Dyk Park shooting

Two people were gunned down on Wednesday, November 26, in Van Dyk Park, in what appears to be a taxi violence incident.

Capt Charles Tshabalala of the Dawn Park SAPS has confirmed this incident and adds that the two victims sustained gunshot wounds.

“We got a call around 10pm informing us that two bodies were dumped in a field and when we got there, two men were shot in the head,” says Tshabalala.

“We believe the incident relates to taxi violence, but we are still looking into it. We found the victims with all their valuable items on them including cellphones.”

According to a source, a resident called the CPI to inform them that they saw two men dragging one body in the field.

The details are still sketchy, however, the police are still investigating the crime. – @NalediBoksburg
