Bikini bodybuilder in search of fitting finish
Freeway Park bikini bodybuilder Charmaine Rademeyer will be in action at the Vodacom World building in Midrand on Saturday, November 22, in what will be her last event of an impressive year.
A sister in-law to bikini-bodybuilding superstar Cat Buys Rademeyer, the 45-year-old says she plans on claiming gold this time around, having come close to the number one spot last year.
“I’m going to give it another go this year. I want to win it this time after finishing third last year,” she says.
“I only started seriously training in April, 2013. After seeing the transformation I achieved through strict eating and training, I entered two competitions in September and November and was hooked.
“My motivation is my two children, and also to show women that age does not define you at all; there is no such thing as too old.”
Charmaine’s other achievements this year include a top-two finish in August’s IFBB Boksburg Classic in the Over 1.63m Toned Bikini category, another top two finish at a Rossi Classic meet in September in the 45+ Toned Bikini division, and a top three finish at a NABBA Provincials competition in the 1.63m Bikini division.
At the provincials she was chosen for the Gauteng Provincial Team for the NABBA SA Championships, which was held in September. – @SabeloBoksburg
