Nine weeks later and burst pipe is finally repaired

Chantel Klopper says two weeks after reporting the problem, metro officials came out to attend to the matter, but allegedly created an even bigger mess.

“They came out, dug up the hole, and put a clamp on the pipe and left. They did not close the hole and the pipe was leaking even more,” she says.

Metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe says the pipe has been repaired and backfilling has been done. -@TumeloBoksburg
