Medals galore for karate academy
It was bling in abundance for Sunward Park’s Goju Karate Academy, as it collected 49 medals during the Karate Super League Lions Challenge at Wits University on Saturday, September 13.
The Lions Challenge, which was the last of a three tournament sequel following the Bulls and Cheetahs editions, saw the Academy’s 46 participants win 10 gold, 12 silvers and 27 bronze medals.
Next for the Academy are the Goju-Ryu South African Champions before the Gauteng Provincial Trials in mid-October. – @SabeloBoksburg
