Metro investigates final notices dumped at Atlasville Spruit

The metro says it is investigating the matter relating to a pile of a few hundred final notices found in a black bag at the Atlasville Spruit.

The final notices were addressed to residents of Atlasville and Reiger Park, and were found at the riverbank’s vegetation during a community service clean-up by a Boy Scout group on Saturday, August 30.

Metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe, says the applicable contractor has been identified and the payment in respect of this contract will be adjusted in accordance to the outcome of the investigation.

“Depending on the outcome of the investigation, penalties and disciplinary action may be implemented,” says Gadebe. – @TumeloBoksburg
