1700 bikers take part in SPCA mass ride

Approximately 1 700 bikers took part in the third annual Ekurhuleni SPCA mass ride from Edenvale to Boksburg, which contributed to the day’s great success for the animals on Sunday, August 31.

Every year the event just gets bigger and more fun.

Motorcycle clubs, fanatics and families joined in on a fun-filled day in aid of the Ekurhuleni SPCA’s.

There was a beer tent, food stalls, a motorbike raffle, 100 lucky draw prizes, a park and sell your bike opportunity.

According to the Boksburg SPCA manager, Wilma Steynbergh, there were about 2 000 visitors on the day.

“The day was a huge success and the bikers once again proved that their hearts beat warm for the animals.

“About 40 big and small bags of food were donated – enough to really make a difference to the SPCAs in the area that struggles with the providing of food for their animals,” says Steynbergh. – @IschkeBoksburg
