Ekurhuleni apologises for power cuts in Boksburg
The power went off at 07:00 this morning.
The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality wishes to inform Boksburg residents that the City’s engineers are working around the clock to restore the power supply interruption in the area following an explosion of the Incoming Circuit Breaker from Eskom to Ekurhuleni.
Engineers are replacing the Incoming Circuit breaker and other damaged equipment, a process that is expected to be completed by 09:00 on Sunday morning.
Areas affected include: Parkrand, Sunward Park, Freeway Park, Parts of CBD and Boksburg East.
Ekurhuleni apologises for the inconvenience caused and assures residents that engineers will work tirelessly until power is restored in the area.

Its now being 25 hours that we are sitting with out electricty in boksburg van dykpark area how long does it take to replace a circuit breaker. This is completely unexceptable and I’m not impressed at all. When you miss a single payment they cut your power with out even blinking an eye lid but when their incompetent staff can’t fix something we must just be patient and bear with it. Enough is enough come now.

So expect to be without power till somewhere around then.
Power will be on 09:00 31 August. Technician working on it…..tell me in 26 hours they can’t fix the problem…..what are we paying for??????
They promised to fix it by 9am this morning, but its stil hasn’t been fixed. Our food is getting ruined from our fridges

19:36 Sunday 31 August. Still No power, messages are circulating about when power will come back on and every time the times changes it just becomes later and later excuse after excuse. I hope they reimburse everyone who had to through away spoiled food and had to now invest in generators.

After a brief spell from Sunday night, the power is off again in Cinderella. This is without doubt now very critical. No one giving any kind of feedback. Who is liable for all accrued costs due to this collapse of infrastructure?
