City to City marathon cancelled

The ultra-marathon event, which is organised by Central Gauteng Athletics (CGA) and its sister province, Athletics Gauteng North, was scheduled to take place on September 24.

The race would have been run from Johannesburg to Pretoria.

Lack of sponsorship to successfully stage the event is understood to be the reason behind the cancellation.

CGA and its president, James Moloi, extended their apologies to all athletes and their respective clubs for the inconvenience. – @SabeloBoksburg
