The Rock to host round 3 of JATD
Drifters will target The Rock Raceway for the third round of this year’s Japan Auto Trading Drift (JATD) series on Saturday, August 2.
With 2014 being the fifth year of the series, drifters have attracted a large contingency of aspiring drifters, which is a good sign that the sport of drifting is well on the ascendancy, according to a statement from The Rock Raceway.
A Silver Cup tournament will also take place on the day, which will hand novices an opportunity to show off their potential and to ensure them that all is not lost in the competition should they fail to make the top 16.
Silver Cup winners will be awarded with trophies instead of championship points and prize money.
With valuable points at stake, a lot is on the line for many of the professional drifters and the tough competition will ensure that drivers bring out their A game.
