Curves gives back to the children

Curves Boksburg conducted their yearly food drive to collect food items, which will be handed over to Epworth Children’s Village.

The owner of Curves Boksburg, Tina Conradie, says the staff and gym members have been collecting the non-perishable goods since May 1.

The children’s home has 65 children living on its property, but feed a total of 76 children on a daily basis.

According to the childcare manager at the home, Joan Brauer, the children range from four years to 19.

“Some of our children have been reunited with their families, but we still send them food parcels daily,” says Brauer.

Brauer says the home is funded by government and various fundraising initiatives.
