Will you cross the line in the Birchwood race?

The Birchwood Hotel and OR Tambo Conference Centre will host the fourth annual Birchwood Cross the Line Half-Marathon on Sunday, April 13.

The event caters for everyone with options of a 5km, 10km and 21km route with Birchwood promising to double the prize money.

The 5km race will commence at 7am with the 10km and 21km races set for a 6.30am start.

Building on the success of last year’s race, which brought over 2 000 runners, the Birchwood Athletics Club will be introducing a new route and great prizes are to be won from Birchwood and the event sponsors.

Online entries are already available through www.entrytime.com and print flyers are available at Birchwood Hotel for collection and can be dropped off at any one of the following venues:

• Birchwood Hotel: View Point Road, Boksburg – 011 897 0000

The first 1 000 21.1km and 10km pre-entries will receive a complimentary sports tog bag and water bottle. Runners must ensure that they have their race license to take part as well as proof of entry and payment on the day.

Temporary licenses are available for purchase (R26 for the 21km and R21 for the 10km) as well.

Due to the half marathon delays on North Rand, Trichardts and Elizabeth roads are expected.
