EGWA to host wrestling Open Championships
The Eastern Gauteng Wrestling Association (EGWA) is set to host its annual Open Wrestling Championships on Saturday, April 26, at the John Barable Hall in Benoni.
The event is one of the grandest championships on Gauteng’s wrestling calendar, and sees some of the country’s top wrestlers compete each year.
The tournament precedes the Junior and Cadet Africa Championships, which will take place between May 16 and 25 in Egypt.
Cadet and junior wrestlers who will be making their way to the northern Africa country will be participating as part of their preparation for the African Championships.
