Irish filled weekend of festivities

Residents gathered for a feast of food, laughter, song and dance during the three-day Irish Festival that was held at Emperors Palace from Friday, March 14, to Sunday, March 16.

The event was held a weekend before Saint Patrick’s Day or the Feast of Saint Patrick, which is a cultural and religious holiday celebrated annually on March 17.

It marks the death date of the most commonly-recognised patron saint of Ireland, Saint Patrick.

Entertainment included comedy acts, Irish Folk music from live band performance, as well as Irish dancers.

Entrants wearing their biggest and brightest green wear were given prizes.
