Ettienne Morris (6) went missing on Sunday afternoon, March 16, and he was last seen playing on Brittlewood Street, Popcorn Valley.
When he failed to return home later that afternoon, he was reported missing.
Ettienne is described as coloured boy with dark hair, and he was last known to be wearing a yellow T-shirt and a blue Denim short.
His family, community members and the police are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.
Police officers with sniffer dogs, community patrollers and scores of community members, searched open areas around the township on Tuesday afternoon, March 18.
They also made house-to-house enquiries in the neighbourhoods.
Sgt Mashudu Phathela, who is leading the operation, said no motive has been found to explain the boy’s disappearance.
