
Volgens wyksraadslid, Andrè du Plessis, het die probleem ontstaan weens ’n dubbel-kabel fout in die omgewing.
Du Plessis beweer dat die een kabel reggemaak is, maar in die proses om die ander kabel reg te maak, is die waterpyp beskadig.
Werkers het blykbaar deur die nag op die hoek van Elizabeth en Caravelle weg, gespook om hierdie probleem op te los.
“Die waterpyp sal eers reggemaak moet word voordat hulle die kabel kan regmaak, aangesien die kabel nou vol water is,” sê du Plessis.
In gevalle van probleme en navrae, moedig Du Plessis die inwoners van Impala Park aan om hom te kontak op 083 655 8187.
Hy sal hulle dan by die databasis op sy foon voeg waar hulle op diè manier maklike inligting sal verkry van wat in die omgewing aangaan.
Hy is 24-uur per dag op hierdie nommer beskikbaar.




Is daar nie n moontlikheid dat die munisipaliteit sy inwoners in daardie betrokke gebied per bulck sms kan laat weet as daar so iets gebeur het nie en vir hoelank dit ongeveer kan duur die daar is tehuise en huise wat mense op respirators het en sulke inligtig is lewensnoodsaaklik so ook is daar kos in vrieskaste en dit kos geld en nie almal kan kragopwekkers bekostig nie.
Sterkte vir die wat daaraan werk en mag God jul handewerk seen sodat die probleem gou opgelos sal word.

Oh seriously……why cant anyone get it right first time?
It would be appreciated if in future we were warned / notified of such circumstances as this is a major inconvenience. As previously mentioned we have food in fridges and freezes that cost allot of money and haven’t made allot of effort to salvage these foods with alternative measures as we have assumed that it is simply load shedding and would return back to normality soon.

Ek verstaan dis seker onmoontlik om mense in kennis te stel dat daar ‘n krisis gaan gebeur. So daarmee kan ek saamleef. Wat my egter grief is dat mens nerens bevredigende antwoorde kry ni. Bel jy di 0860 nr se elke operateur iets anders! En dit help ni mens bel mnr du Plessis se nommer ni.. Al se dit hys 24uur daarop beskikbaar! Volgens n latere berig sou Impala Park se krag toevoer reeds rondom 3uur vanmiddg herstel gewees het, dis al 6uur en niks is steeds aan di gebeur ni! Ek het telkemale vandag verby gery en gestop en vra by di plek in caravelle str waar di probleem is.. En meestal was di werkers ni eers besig ni, maar het gestaar na di gat wat gegrawe is.. Nogal gewonder of dit ‘toevallig’ elke keer teetyd of etenstyd was wat ek daar verby is.. Wens net di mense verantwoordelik vd herstel vd probleem, wil besef daars n hele buurt wat skade ly agv hulle gesloer! Almal het vrieskaste wat ontvries! Sal gaaf wees as iemand n eerlike antwoord kan gee sodat ons kan weet wat om regtig te verwag!
Probleme is probleme. Kan ons asb eerlik en opreg ingelig word wanneer die probleem herstel sal word. Ek persoonlik hoop dit is ook die einde van die beurt krag in Impala Park. Ek dink ons het ons kwota van krag onderbrekings gehad!
We have been without electricity since Tuesday 6.35 pm,I’m very dissapointed in not been notified,so that we can take precautions,I have 2 small children in the house,and living costs is expensive as it is and nw we stand to loose all that food we work hard for and not 2mention our pets(fishes)that have to be with oxygen and can’t live long like this or with temptretures dropping fast,I realy hope thy can sort this problem out fast.Regards Elaine – impala resident
Just spoke to Andre @ 8:05am and he apparently spoke last night at around 10pm to the ppl and they said another 10 hours so that mean it should be on lets say 10 am!!!! May God be with them cause there is a few angry ppl in Impala Park :))
Firstly the date is wrong. The power went off just after 6pm on the 11th of March already. Secondly the statement that they worked through the night is also incorrect as we went there twice after 9pm last night and it was dark, nobody in sight working. And as Anina commented them staring at the hole and not really working hard to get it fixed, I don’t think it will get fixed soon either. Are the people responsible for this whole ordeal going to pay for all the food in the fridges that’s spoiled now, not to mention the inconvenience.

Hi Everyone! I just spoke to Andre. He said some areas of Impala Park has electricity, but because the outage happened during the evening,most people’s TV’s lights and other appliances are obviously still on. and he says that trips the electricity again. He also mentioned that they have fixed one of the cables and it would take another 10 hours for the second one to be fixed. Hope this helps a bit. Good luck neighbors!
