CBC OB brush Duduza aside

An unbeaten 70 from opening batsman Wesley Coulentianos helped CBC Old Boys to record a comfortable 65-run home victory against Duduza’s Premier XI.

The homeside completed their innings with 151/4 after electing to bat in a match which was delayed by more than four hours due to a wet pitch.

Coulentianos’ opening partner, Jan Janse van Rensburg added 13 before his dismissal, with Dylan Posthimus (7), and Nicholas Lockyer (24), scoring a combined 31 before middle-order Craig Parker’s undefeated 24 ensured the homeside’s competitive target of 152 in the 23 overs match.

Duduza’s top-order batsman Buntu Ndlela finished as his side’s top scorer with 30 in what was an otherwise low scoring display by the visitors, who finished with 86/7 over their 23 overs to hand the homeside a 65-run victory.

Ndlela completed his day’s performance with bowling figures of 2/25 in five overs, including one maiden, with CBC’s Jean Rossouw and Posthimus also claiming two wickets each.
