“The Hexecutioner” headlines African Explosion boxing tournament
Strawweight champion Hekkie “The Hexecutioner" Budler will headline the eagerly anticipated Golden Gloves “African Explosion” bill when he defends his WBA/IBO strawweight world title against Colombia’s Karluis Diaz at Emperors Palace’s Theatre of Marcellus on Saturday, March 1.
The six-bout showcase will get underway at 7.30pm with doors opening an hour earlier at 6.30pm.
The main supporting fight will see Ryno Liebenberg defend his WBC International light heavyweight championship against Uganda’s Joey Vegas.
The main fight bill will also include IBO super bantamweight world title face-off with champion Thabo Sonjica taking-on The Philippines’ Roli Gasca.
Wilbeforce Shihepo will complete the foreign-challenger theme for the main fights when the Namibian challenges Johnny Muller for the WBC light-heavyweight Silver International title.
