According to Lieut Juanita Coetzer, communications officer for the Boksburg North SAPS, the arrest occurred at 9.30am while constables Lorraine Swart and Clement Komane were on patrol in the area.
“They came across a suspicious man walking in the veld and searched him.”
The officers found 22 packets of illegal substance on his person, to the value of R6 600.
The Nigerian man was arrested and charged with dealing in illegal substances.
