Neknomination turns into a good cause (VIDEO)
The Facebook drinking game, Neknomination, has gone viral, but a Boksburg resident has decided to take a different approach to it.
When Owen O’Neill was Neknominated, he involved the Parkrand Tennis Complex, which he is a member of, and turned it into a fundraising opportunity for the Boksburg SPCA.
“I’d like to make a change and do something positive,” O’Neill says.
On Friday, February 7, O’Neill, accompanied by Colin George, collected money from motorists at the intersection on Trichardts and Kirsch roads from 7am to 5pm.
All the money that has been collected on this day, was donated to the SPCA.

O’Neill has also opened up donations through the Parkrand Tennis Club account, and people could also drop off food and blankets for the animals for the SPCA at the tennis club.
A total of R4 951.69, along with dog and cat food, has been raised so far for the SPCA by O’Neill’s generous gesture.
Parkrand Tennis Complex also donated a bucket of tennis balls.

It is nice to see that people care for those who can not speak for themselves. Keep it up I think its wonderful.
