St francis thanks the community
The St Francis Care Centre would like to thank all the individuals and corporates who partnered with them to make 2013 a successful year.

They appreciate all the donations, whether in cash or kind, that were received.
Looking back on the year, it was gratifying to note that many of the adults who had been admitted to the hospice, had been nursed back to health, and had been able to return to their families.
The Centre were also proud to note that some of the children who were in the Rainbow Cottage had been placed with foster families, and that they would have four children starting Grade R and Grade 1 during 2014.
“Without the assistance of our donors we would not be able to achieve these results”, says centre manager, Tilly Brouwer.
The Centre also thanks everyone who made Christmas special for the adults and children by hosting parties and supplying them with gifts.
These kind gestures meant so much to the adults and children in care, and reaffirmed the true meaning of the festive season – caring for each other as we are cared for by a Higher Power.
“The Centre is looking forward to a productive 2014, and has many upcoming events and projects planned,” says Brouwer.
The Centre depends heavily on fundraising and the support of donors to meet its financial needs.
During the first quarter of 2014, an event at the Barnyard Theatre in Boksburg, as well as a golf day, will be hosted.
Individuals and corporates are invited to participate in these events and can contact Cynthia Dicks on 082 903 6914 for further details.
