Christmas party hosted to thank crime fighters

The Reiger Park SAPS, in partnership with the Gauteng Provincial CPF Board, held a Christmas party to thank the Reiger Park CPF Patrollers for their dedication to fighting crime across the township.

Hundreds of people attend the party, which was held at the Reiger Park Public Swimming Pool, on Saturday, November 30.

The event was also attended by community leaders, representatives of the SAPS, Provincial Community Police Board, Department of Community Safety and others.

Chairperson of the Brakpan CPF Cluster Herman Heunis thanked the patrollers for their sterling work for their communities, and encouraged them to continue their voluntary efforts.

The guests were treated to a day of fun, food, drinks and music.

The CPF Patrollers is a volunteer community initiative, made up of members of the communities from across the Reiger Park policing precinct.

They play their part in fighting crime by reporting suspicious or criminal activity and they also help to patrol their communities alongside members of the SAPS.
