Dance held in aid of Hospice

Members of the Rhythm 2 Sessions Dance Studio in Boksburg gathered at Emperors Palace for a Production Dance Show on Sunday, November 10, to raise funds in support of Gavin Taylor.

Taylor took part in the 94.7 Momentum Cycle Challenge at the Waterfall Country Estate near Kyalami, Johannesburg, on Sunday, November 17.

His participation in the challenge was to raise funds for the East Rand Hospice where his late father spent his last days.

His father passed away in 1997 from cancer.

“The Hospice took good care of my father and this was my way of giving back to help the underprivileged,” said Taylor.

“My father-in-law also has cancer and that’s another reason why I did it (the challenge).”

The show saw members from the studio perform various dancing styles with Taylor joining in the activities towards the end.

Asked about his relationship with Rhythm 2 Sessions, Taylor responded by saying: “I’ve been on the 94.7 radio station for the past four to five months explaining my cause. That is where Rhythm 2 Sessions heard about me and they decided to help with the fundraising.”
