Orphaned children treated
The Afrox SHEQ Department selected the children and house mothers from the Thokomala House Villa Lisa, Vosloorus, and Keep Me Safe House to share in their Bumbanani Day initiative on October 19.
These houses are managed by Boksburg Child Welfare and consist of abandoned and orphaned children who are in need of care and protection.
The children and house mothers were taken to the Johannesburg Zoo where they were treated to a breakfast, refreshments, a private tour of the zoo’s main attraction, lunch and other treats.
The children were presented with backpacks filled with toiletries, snacks, earrings and a watch from Afrox.
The house mothers were given handbags with toiletries and other goodies to pamper themselves.
Boksburg Child Welfare thanks Stephen Moran and the rest of Afrox for selecting the Thokomala and Keep Me Safe houses.
