When it rains, it pours – league matches abandoned
All Eastern Cricket league matches, which were set to take place on the weekend of October 19 and 20, were abandoned due to the uncompromising rain.
According to Eastern Cricket’s by-laws and regulations, matches abandoned because of ground, weather or light conditions are not regarded as postponed fixtures.
In such cases, an equal amount of points are awarded to both teams – in this case two.
Eastern Cricket returned this past weekend for the week four fixtures of the new season.
