Get the short-story fiction flowing

With a month to go, time is running out for entries to the Science Fiction/Fantasy South Africa (SFFSA) Nova Short Story Competition 2013, which has a total prize value of R3 500.

This annual competition, which has been running since 1972, promotes local talent and encourages science fiction or fantasy stories with a local, uniquely South African flavour.

The judge of the general section this year will be Lauren Beukes, the winner of the 2011 Arthur C Clark Award.

The South African section will be judged, as usual, by Arthur Goldstuck.

For further information and/or an essential entry form, check out the Nova Short Story page on www.sffsa.org.za/Nova.html.

Or send an e-mail to nova.sffsa@gmail.com, and they will email them to you.

Writers without Internet access may obtain the necessary by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to SFFSA Short Story Competition, c/o Gavin Kreuiter, PO Box 8022, Edenglen, 1613.
