Arrested for illegal rifles
The Boksburg North SAPS recently arrested a man for the illegal possession of firearms and had ten of his rifles confiscated.
According to Lieut Juanita Coetzer, communications officer for the Boksburg North SAPS, the police were called to the suspect’s house by his partner, who alleged that he had threatened to hurt her.
“Three of the confiscated rifles were illegally in the possession of the suspect, and one of the firearm’s serial numbers had been tampered with,” says Coetzer.
“Two of the black powder firearms had no licenses.”
The owner of the guns is a bona fide, who now stands a chance of losing his license.
