The suspect will appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court soon.

A plain clothes EMPD drug enforcement officer conducting a survey, apprehended a male suspect after he was mistaken for a buyer on March 16.

According to Kobeli Mokheseng, EMPD spokesperson, a 21-year old suspect approached and offered good quality joint at the lowest price, to a pedestrian crossing the traffic light on foot at the corner of Leeuwpoort and Jubilee streets.

“Little did he know it was an EMPD officer,” said Mokheseng.

“The suspect was found with ziplocks containing dagga, valued at R200 and R20 in cash.

“The unregistered dealer was marched to Boksburg police station and charged with possession and dealing in dagga.”
