Her advice on how to live a successful life is: “Do what you believe in and do it properly.”

The birthday girl was spoilt with gifts like pyjamas, gift vouchers and chocolates to make her day memorable.

Furthermore, a family gathering at her house in Cinderella with delicious food, balloons and cake among others was held in honour of her special day.

When the Advertiser asked her how it felt to be 98, she jokingly replied it feels the same as being 97.

“I don’t fear ageing, and I have a wonderful family that look after me well,” Joey said with a sparkle in her eye.

She’s healthy, happy and wise.
