Two nabbed in Reiger Park for narcotics

Both offenders are facing charges of possession of and dealing in illicit substances at the Reiger Park police station. They will appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court soon.

The EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit Officers apprehended two male suspects and seized narcotics in the Reiger Park area, following a crime-prevention operation recently.

Kobeli Mokheseng, EMPD spokesperson, said a 39-year-old suspect was handcuffed at the Joe Slovo informal settlement after being found with 13 pokes of dagga, four half and full mandrax tablets wrapped in foil valued at R500, and R678 cash was seized.

“On their way to the police station, they picked up a suspicious 30-year-old on the reserved road by Ramaphosa where 13 knotted plastics of nyaope valued at R400 and R150 cash was confiscated,” he added.
