Driver of hijacked delivery truck found in possession of stolen loot

The truck is not yet recovered, but investigation continues.

The 42-year-old man had his employer’s delivery truck, which was carrying sport supplements, hijacked on February 25 in Midrand.

However, on the following day, further investigation led Dawn Park Trio team to the driver’s home in Windmill Park where the stolen goods were found.

According to the Dawn Park police spokesperson, Const Nkemeleng Mabula, the found stolen goods include sport supplements and toothpaste.

“The man was questioned about the goods, but he failed to give satisfactory answers, and was subsequently arrested. He is set to appear in court soon facing a possession of stolen goods charge.

Mabula pointed out that other charges may be added, depending on the investigations.
