Tyres worth about R350 000 stolen

No shots were fired and no injuries reported.

In Boksburg South, robbers stormed a tyre shop on David Street and stole tyres worth about R350 000.

According to the police report, on February 15 a gang of about 15 people arrived at the property.

Two of the robbers held staff members at gunpoint, while the others were loading tyres on a truck.

The robbers then drove off with the stolen tyres.

  • Stolen vehicles

• A Randburg man attending a cycling competition at the Boksburg City Stadium was left stranded after his car was stolen from the facility’s parking lot on February 16. The stolen car is a white Toyota Corolla. Inside the car was the victim’s bag full of clothes, iPhone, wallet with cards and cash.

• On the same day, another vehicle belonging to a man from Mbombela was also stolen from the Boksburg City Stadium. The victim told police he parked his white Toyota Fortuner in the parking lot and went to the cycling competition. When he returned to the spot at about 11.30am, the vehicle was gone.
