The Boksburg North SAPS recently arrested a 58-year-old man from Comet for possession of an unlicensed firearm and live ammunition.
It is alleged that a security guard, who works where the suspect lives, called the police.
This is after the suspect apparently threatened the guard at gunpoint. According to Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson Justice Ramaube, officers searched the man and found an S&W 38 special revolver with a box full of live ammunition.
“When the police asked the man to produce a firearm licence, the man failed to do so without a satisfactory answer,” Ramaube said.
He will appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
