Netstar sponsors fleet-tracking, recovery services for Boksburg SPCA

The Netstar fleet-tracking solution provides the SPCA with real-time map visibility of their vehicles that enables more effective deployment and usage of resources needed to support animal care in the community.

During December, Netstar, a subsidiary of Altron, officially switched on its fleet-tracking and recovery services for the Boksburg SPCA during a handover ceremony held at the Boksburg SPCA facilities.

“The Boksburg SPCA came to us with specific challenges and recognising the value that Netstar could add we were pleased to give support.

“Furthermore, we understand that a loss of any SPCA vehicle would have a devastating effect on the services they provide,” explained Dean Andrews, Netstar’s marketing executive.

“Being passionate about their communities, and embracing diversity and inclusion, are some of our core values.

“To this end, it was a pleasure for us to provide fleet tracking, recovery, and basic fleet intelligence bureau services for the Boksburg SPCA.”

According to Willie du Plessis, SPCA chairperson, the Netstar sponsored services are already making a difference in the SPCA’s operations.

“The systems have helped us immensely and have eased our minds from a driver and vehicle safety aspect.

“We can now focus on the utilisation and care of our fleet. We want to thank Netstar for their contribution towards the animal community, and we look forward to doing more with what their solutions have to offer,” said du Plessis.
